Guinea worm is a parasite that is common in poor third world countries because it is transmitted through unclean drinking water. When these countries do not have any clean water to drink they have to drink from the rivers or lakes near by that are not filtered. This is where this parasite can be found and so when they drink the unclean water the worm gets into their system. They like the other worms have to small of a body to have any respiratory organs. They have similar skin that is permeable and allows oxygen to enter the system. They also have the mucus that their skin forms that traps oxygen in it and allows the mucus to get into their body.
