How do Banana Slugs go through respiration? |
At first, slugs used to breathe by using gills. But now, they adapted and now have a mantle cavity into a lung. A slug breathes by using a body feature called the Pneumostome ( Breathing Pore), and that is how the air enters into the mantle cavity. The inside of the mantle cavity has a highly vascularized area of the tissue that works as a lung.
